Jez is passionate when it comes to empowering children and adults through Martial Arts. He is the founder of ‘Chikara Martial Arts’ and ‘Satori Martial Arts Academy’, and holds Black Belts in Karate and Kick boxing. Jez is a professional Kick boxing coach, and Thai boxing coach. He has also mastered Judo, Jujutsu, Aikido, Kung Fu, and Kokushinkai.

Jez has refereed for countless kick boxing matches including British Title Fights; and has promoted Kick boxing Shows such as the World Title Fights since 1987 and still does so today.

More recently Jez has dedicated his time to taking Martial Arts to a new Level within the frame work of education, having had intensive involvement in the setting up of a recognised Martial Arts curriculum for the British Education System.

The history of the club can be traced to the early 80's. The club started off training at the 'Still' pub in Lincoln town centre and developed into a thriving business offering a new type of martial art. Chikara martial arts then relocated to Monson Street in Lincoln's high street offering a full time acadamy enjoying several years as one of the top clubs in the world. Now we are based at Total Fitness just off the A46 by-pass on the outskirts of Lincoln. The club has now changed its name to SATORI but the roots are deep in Chikara.
